At Feel Happy Counseling and Coaching, we believe in transparent pricing and putting your mental health care first — free from the limitations that come with insurance billing.

Session Fees

Individual or Couples Session: $195 for a 50-minute session
Premarital Counseling Package: $1,295 for 8 sessions (must be completed within 12 months)

Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits

We are a private pay, out-of-network provider. This means we do not bill insurance companies directly. You pay the full session fee at the time of service, and we provide you with a superbill — a detailed receipt with all the diagnostic and procedural codes your insurance company needs — which you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.

Why private pay? Insurance-based therapy requires a mental health diagnosis that becomes a permanent part of your medical record. It also gives insurance companies oversight over your treatment decisions. As a private pay practice, your care is guided entirely by your therapeutic needs — not insurance requirements.

We recommend calling your insurance company before your first session and asking: “What are my out-of-network mental health benefits? What percentage do you reimburse for outpatient psychotherapy?”

Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice or missed without notice will be charged 50% of the full session fee. Monday appointments must be cancelled by 4:00 PM the preceding Friday. Q: Why doesn’t Feel Happy Counseling take insurance?
A: Choosing not to bill insurance directly protects your privacy and gives us more flexibility in your treatment. Insurance billing requires a formal diagnosis, limits session frequency, and can result in clinical records being reviewed by third parties.

Q: Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for sessions?
A: Yes. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can typically be used to pay for psychotherapy. Contact your HSA/FSA administrator to confirm.

Q: How do I pay for sessions?
A: Payment is due at the time of service. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.

Q: Is the premarital counseling package refundable?
A: The premarital package requires full prepayment and is non-refundable. You have 12 months from the start date to complete all 8 sessions.

Q: What happens if I’m late for a session?
A: If you arrive late, the session still ends at the scheduled time. We are unable to extend sessions into other clients’ time.
